O'Kinchol is a paintnr by trade , and haa been a hangor-on for many weeks at several of the all-night roaorta in the city. The ether two arrested are em ployees of Jack Niuont. Price ia a Ne braska state penitentiary biid , having been released only four or five weeks ago from that institution , where ho served a term of four yean for aafo blowing. The Kansas City "cannon ball" left this city las evening 42 minutes late , and while run ning at a high rate of speed , around n curve about two miles north of this city , collided with a constructiod train , com ilotoly wrecking both engines and the mggago car of the passenger train , A visit to the wreck this morning showed n lomclition of No. 18 , the cngino on th Kansas City run , and nearly as bad a wreck of No. 1G , the construction tram engine. No. 18 , Will Randall , engineer and Harry RJOSO , Hroman , was the moa complete wreck wo over saw , lying on .ho loft side , about fifteen foot from th .rack. Not a thing did wo BOO lof whole , except the drive wheels on the up tor nido. It apparently wont about fort 'cot after the collision before leaving th ; rack , when a rail snapped us thoinjl sawed , and it wont into the ditch. Randall , wo are told , started to jump , but thought of his pas- songora , and stayed by his engine till she wont into the ditch. Ho reversed his engine and applied the air-brakes which , in a great measure , served to lesson the ihnck to the passengers. The gravel train , being empty , waa knock back up the track quite a distance. There is not enough Iptt of No. 18 to put on the track und run in fur repairs. No. 1C lost her cab , pilot and tnndor , but was haiih d in t/ > the shop to > day. The tender of No. 18 was turned completely over , and lies turned end for end at the side of trio track , wfiilo the wheels are on the ether side of the track and sorao distance bo low. The tender of No. 1C is in four dilTuront places , and a vast number of pieces. Nothing is loft of No. 18 but the boiler , and that has several bad holes in it. Miraculous as it may seem , no ono was killed. Conductor Edson was probablytlio worst hurt of any. Ho was in the com bination coach , und seems to bo injured in the head. Clark- son , Episcopal bishop of Nebraska , who has boon ill for several days with pneu monia , died shortly nftor midnight this morning nt liis residence in this city. Bishop Clarkson vas born at Gottjaburg , Pennsylvania , November 19 , 1826. Ilo graduated in 1814 nt Pennsylvania college - logo nt Gettysburg. Having determined to enter the ministry of the Episcopal church , ho nt once began theological studios nt St. James college , Maryland , from which institution ho graduated in 1848 , and was shortly nf forwards ordained by Bishop Whittingham , of Maryland. Ho immediately entered upon the active duties of his calling , and soon became rector of St. James Episcopal church in Chicago. Ho remained in charge of that parish from 1849 to 18G5 , and endeared himoolf to his parishioners and a largo circle of friends and acquaintances in that city. Ho vras a hard-worker , a kind-hearted man , and beloved by nil with whom ho cuno in contact , and when in November , 1805 , ho was CONSECRATED BISHOP OP NEBRASKA find missionary bishop of Dakota , it was with great regret that his parishion- rs and friends parted with him. Thuro probably never was a more popular min ster in Chicago than Bishop Clarks n. Immediately after consecration ho came to Omaha , and has over since made thia city his homo. His work in Nebraska and Dakota kept him very busy , and ho was traveling nearly all the time in the discharge of his duties. In 18GG ho es tablished the Nebraska college at No- bniska City , and it has grown to bo quite a flourishing institution , and the same year ho established Bran null hall in Omaha , a young ladies' summitry , that ! which there is now no bettor in the west. Brownoll lull is an institution in which ho has always taken great interest. During his administration HE BUn.T OVER FIFTY CHURCHES in Nebraska and Dakota. His greatest pridu was Trinity cathedral , in this city , which wa recently finished at a cost of nearly 75,000 , and is claimed to bo one of the must beautiful church structures in the United States. A few years ago Bishop GlarkBon gave up his jurisdiction of D.ikota , and devoted his entire time to Nebraska , as work in this state re quired all his attention. For twenty- live years ho was trustteo of Ilncino college lego and Washotah theological college , both in Wisconsin. Ho received the degree of D. D. at Ilicino college in 1850 , and the dfgreo of L. L D. , at the university of Nebraska , at Lincoln , in 1872. BISHOP fiLAUKSON WAS MARRIED May 8th , 1849 , ut Haverstown , Mary land , to Molioift McFhurain , who sur vives him. tie leaves two daughters , Mary , who was a great favorite in Chicago cage , and who is IIOAT the wife of Rev. T. R. Millnpaugh , dean of Trinity cathe dral , this city , and Nellie , wife of F. H. Davis , cashier of the First National Bank of maha. The deceased has two broth ers , Major T. S. Clarkson and S. T. Clarkson , formeily of Chicago , but resid ing at Schuyler , and also a , sister , wife ol Rev. .T. G. Gasirmnn , Indian agent at Crow Creek agency. The deceased was a brother of Lawyer Joseph Clarkson , ol Chicago , who a few years ago accidently killed himself by snooting , and whose son is now a prominent young lawyer in Omaha. The death of Bishop Clarkson has UA8T A GLOOM over the entire city. Uo was universally beloved anH respected , and was an influ ential and useful citizen. He was pre-eminently a man among men. The announcement of his death will bo re ceived throuuhout Nebraska and Dakota , and whornver ho is known , with univer sal regret. Ho was a fatherly bishop , his Burmons invariably being full of w > rds of tenderness , love and wisdom He was practical in his ideas , and spoke to the hoxrt of man. The Episcopal church in Nebraska and the United St ites loses in his death otio of its moat eminent members. A Great Uii-covery.
