advance again. Chicago , Burlington &
Quincy was in brisk demand and was tha
feature of the day , which opened at 121 , rose
to 12GJ and the general list advanced i to 1J
per cont. During the afternoon the marknt
was irregular but near the close a weaker
fooling prevailed nnd the steady improvement
was partially lost. The result of the day's
trading was shown by the fact that out of
thirty of the most active stocks ton are higher ,
-sixteen lower and four unchanged from last
night's closing prices. The principal ad
vances wore , Chicago Burlington & Quincy
2 per cent , Rock Islam ) 1 per cont. The
principal declines were , Omaha 1 § per cent ,
Omaha preferred 3 per cent. Other changes
from last ; night's closing were only fractional.
