As far aa the Iowa pool in concerned , it waa agreed to lot it expire under the notice of with * drawal given by the Milwaukee & St. Paul , as there was no longer any neces sity for Sta existence. A long discussion followed in regard to winding up its af fairs , the settlement of claims , etc. All thcso arrangements wcro successfully perfected and Commissioner Midgloy in structed to close all accounta aa rapidly as possible. The question of what tvaa done with the Colorado Tariff asso ciation was then taken up. Some of these present were under the impression that the Utah business was not included in this pool. Iloada , which have joined the now Western Trunk Line association , thereupon gave the required thirty days' notice. Such notice waa necessary bccauso the Alton , which did not belong to the Iowa pool , is a member of the Colorado pool. _ Tlio disposition bo made of the " position to "eight-point Nebraska pool" was then token under consideration.
