A Union 1)OjUL
A move Is being made rather quietly ,
but with hope of success , for the securing
of n union depot for Council Bluffs. The
( details of the arraugoment are not completed -
pleted and mho matter is still largely one
of talk. A committee of the city council
have gone to Chicago in the interest of
tire project , and the plan in general
500105 to be to have a union depot built
nearer time center of town than the Union
Pacifie depot. It is understood that the
Iowa roads favor such a plan and
that possibly the Union Facitio
may be brought to see that it is to its
interest to join in the enterprise. Time
pruseut transfer depot is sofaraway From
Council Bluffs proper that it. is of little
prnctteal benefit to the city itself. What
time result of the interview with the
ChIciu o railway officials will amount to
is a matter of predictiun. It is an en-
terprisu which virtually concerns all roe ,
idunta amid one in which all are deeply
Interested.
