A short time ago complaint was en tered against Charles Rookawltz , well-known resident of this city charging him with larceny of a 001 belonging to Mrs. Murphy. It wa claimed by the prosecution that th cow waa slaughtered by Rockawit and that by a search warrant ita hid waa found but not the beef. Who : the case came np for trial on Saturda ; the prosecution cowed down complete ly , and the case waa dismissed. I appears from Rockawitz'a aide of thi affair , corroborated by witnesses , tha Mrs. Murphy's cow was dead iu thread road , and John Ooyle notified him t that effect. Rockawltz , who has , rendering establishment , and who at tends to nearly all such case for the city , at once tool steps to remove the body , a he does those of other animals fonn dead In the highway , and which nee to be removed , so that instead of com mlttlng larceny ho really performed sanitary service , Mrs , Murphy am onn Donahoo seemed to bo the lead ing spirits In the prosecution , on claimed to have evidence to prove tha ho really stole the cow , but on boln more closely questioned by the attoi neys prosecuting the case , it waa die covered that they knaw nothing of th sort , and that the real facts were a above stated. Hence the attorney dropped the case like a hot potatc Rockawitz feels that this in notonoug ! satisfaction , however , for beln paraded before the public as a thlol and has now commenced action agsine Uonahoo and Murphy for maltcloc prosecution , placing the damages a 5-5,000 , , and haa retained Col , Keatle aa hla attorney. One of the molt Interesting estab lishments iu the oily for any one scientifically Inclined to visit , is that of Mrs. Dr. E. J. Harding , of Broad way , She Is an enthusiast , and yet a close , careful student in that now school of electropathy , which has now become as surely a distinct school as any of the old ' 'pathles , " One can not hear her explain her methods and show the workings of her wonderfully Ingenious electro-machines and appli ances , and listen to her clear glvlngs of the reason for the faith that is witn- n her , without becoming more or less inspired with the belief that she Is at work In a field full of thought and of alno. She has now almost a bewlld- rmont of machines and appliances of he latest and best Improvements , and f every kind and form for giving Uc . .j . . v.inont , and as many hero now cheerfully testify , she handles all hose with the Intelligence and expori- mco necessary to secure the most sure and satisfactory results. Hero are foradlo and galvanic bat- orlos , aud hero is ono very Ingenious ly combining both. Hero is appliance jfter appliance for reaching most easily and surely the peculiar spot where the disease has made its homo. Hero Is ho electric chair , and yonder in the ornor is her latest acquisition , an ilectro-statlo machine , one of the latest mprovemonts , by Prof. Taepler , of ; ho Polytechnic school at Dresden. This is Indeed a wonderful machine. The atmospheric change orpecnllnrlty , ian prevent its being used satisfactorily or all medicinal purposes. It is BO powerful that It sends a flioh several nchos long , and can bo made to pro duce lightning aa zlg zag aud otartling ai that of the heavens. Mnny electri cal phonomeuas , name of thutn boRUti- fnl Indeed , can bo produced by it , and yet with all its power it can bo so reg ulated that it treats with more tender ness than could any mother's hand the delicate eye of a babe without a twlngo or pain. One of the secrets of Mrs. Dr , Hardlngs success is the accuracy of the diagnoses which she Is able to make by these various appliances , and the sureness wlih which abe is enabled to direct the remedy directly to the part affected , Not only does she pro vide heraelf with the very lateat and beat which science has yet produced for her purposes , but she perfectly familiarizes herself with every detail. Her enthusiastic delight with thli form of treatment , and the success she haa met with , inspires her to apply herself closely to her profession , and her ambition Is causing her not merely to keep np with the latest In her school but to load.
