ploturo alone cost 925,000. The hall
Is lighted by otiental lamps in glass
mosaic. The floor Is of marblo.
Off the loft of the hall the reception
room is placed , The apartment though
small cost a small fortune to fit up.
The walls are hnng In omboasrrl velvet
of an old gold shade , the lru g being
filled In with the most d , 'u\tely fin

French clock of hammered bronze sur

atatnotio resting upon a black marble
pedestal. The mirror , some six feet
in height , is of gold inlaid of ivory.
There are only four paintings ( all in
oils ) In this cosy newt of elegance.
They are a Moorish scene by Sohrovcr ;
a figure of a child by W. Bouaguor-
eau ; a Modern Pindora by Gustavo
Jucqnot , and the Formidable Book by
A Veley. It Is estimated that the
contents of thii apartment , which it
about 15x10 feet , alone oost $20,000.

This palatial ohambor does not con
tain a single chair , the upholstery ol
which Is ombroldored by hand in
the most brilliant contrasts , Every
conceivable design is here represented
in yellow , lavender , scarlet and gold
embroideries so exquisitely fine that
