thrown Into a vat of boiling water
and boiled with sagar for the proper
length of time ; the liquid is then
drained oif , mixed with an equal quan
tity of glucose , and flavored with extracts -
tracts to make "cuirant , " "qulcca , "
or any other kind of jollv that may bt
desired. The residue of the apples it
used in making apple butter.

Mr. John V. Farwoll , who for years
has carried a largo amount of Insur
