Stocks The ftoclt market was feverish
an i geuernlly weak. It opened Jo-vtr , fell
oil a little at f.rat , then strengthened up ,
and at abi ut 10:30 : the general list was a
fraction higher than last night. About
11:30 : there was a break in the Denver ,
which declined from 473 to 4 ? , and in the
next twenty minutes affecting the whole
market to a limited extent. After 12:30 :
and until 2 o'clock the market continued
weak , and the net result of the hour and a
half's famines was a further decline of J@J
per cent , hut this was after a partial re
covery from the lowest point , about 1
o'clock , at which time the Denver Bold as
low as 41 , bnt afterwards recovering to
45 } , at a little before 2 o'clock. In the
last hour the market was steadier , and for
moat of the stocks closed a shade better
than at 2 o'clock.
