"Who rente dross suits ? Well , I'll

Montgomery street store relapsed into
a eort of complacent communicative-

of a fresh cigar. "They are rented by
mon in all kinds of positions back
ers , Board-of-Trado mon , merchants ,
book-keepers , lawyers , doctors , clerks
and mechanics , Since I have been in
the Buit-ronting business I have
lot suits to men in nearly every
prominent business-house In the
city , and to mon who could buy ont
my establishment and never miss the
money. Ono unacquainted with the
facto could hardly imagine the extent
to which I am patronized by society
people. There hasn't boon a party on
Neb Hill for a considerable length of
time at which from ono 'o twenty of
my salts have not appeared. Mon of
wealth often come hero and engage
auita for a certain evening. Each ono
neloota the suit that fits him , and yon
will aoe by that wardrobe behind the
counter that I have about a hundred
of different slzas and stylos. When
the day arrives I send the suit up to
his residence by a messenger , and the
next day I Bond another messenger tc
bring It back. Yon see , there
are hundreds of men who attend
droaa parties only once or twice in the
