The stock market showed an increase in
business and an advance in prices this
afternoon , the net result being j@U per
cent on the general list. Between mid
day and 2 o'clock prices fluctuated. In the
last hour the stock market continue !
.quiet , The only stocks in which there
was any activity were Western Union ,
which was stronger at near the highest
prices of the day , and Delaware , Imcka-
wana & Western , which wna weaker nt
the lowest prices of the day. All other
sUcks were firm. The net result of the
day has been a larger sale of shares than
any day last week ani an advance of i@2
per cent over the prices of Saturday
evening ,
