Jobbers n dry good * , clothing , boots and shoes re * port small orders by mallbut sales limited n tje aggregate. Millinery U quiet In the extreme. The grocery trade was slow. Rio Coffees weak , and a decline on sugars , rice and some ] lines of canne 1 goods , while dried fruits and fish remained steady. The general produce business was only moderate. Poultry waa scarce and In demand , while butter and eggs were in fair supply , and selling moderately at revised quotations. Cheese moved fairly at unchanged prices. Flour was In better demand and firm , al quotations. Other mill stuffs sold fairly at firmer prices , The local grain market was about the same as last week , though prices averagec stronger. Green fruits and vegetables were a slow sale at quotations. Provisions were mure active at an ad vanced price , Cut meats of all kinds advanced fully jc per lt > . , and lard H5c per htd.
