Previous to this , however , tlio hus band , who had an idea that ho might be arrested for petit larceny , consulted a prominent attorney , who , in order to guard against any contingency , filed a complaint in the police court charging the parties with adultery and at the same time filed a petition in the district court applying for a divorce on the part of the hus band on the ground of adultery.
