movement of grain if larger. Strikes
coming to on end and the news from
Europe have had the effect of sustaining
prices of nil tuples , The whole grain
market is very irregular nnd unsettled ,
with frequent nnd rapid lluctuitlnt P , but
the range 1ms not been a wiileou ? . Opera
tors , as n rule , ha\9 betn disinclined to
take hold , nnd those already in have
shown some nnxiety to get out when tlio
market favored them , nnd the bulk of
transactions have been in thi * line of
operation * . In wlieit there has been n
/Air nmount of business doing. Indica
tion ? of n corner In Chicago had somoelTect
upon this market. August nnd October
deliveries have been favorite ? , nud fluctua
tions within a range of about lOc per
bushel. In wool there is n fair amount ot
business doing , and prices ara well sus
tained. Stocks ara not accumulating
much , and there is no disposition on the
part of holders to scale prices for the nuke
of making tradeunlrsi the amount ta quite

is doing in petroleum , with fluctuations
not wide , but varying according to the re
