St. Paul , Minneapolis & Manitoba was t.oxt in point ot advance , suddenly rising 5 per cent to 145. Milwaukee i St. Paul sympathized with this improvement and sold up to 121 ? . The remarkable strength of the stocks named attracted much attention and was the cause of comment , Southwestern - western shares were firmer and 4@ ! per cent higher thnn closing quotations Satur day.
