RAILROAD EXCITEMENT.
Railroad excitement continues un
abated , and will doubtless result in

county , W , T. , undtho Union Pucifio
company have reached n positive
understanding by which at least IOC
miles or road from Cheyenne lull-
ward's , must bo completed by No
vember 1 , 1883. This , Lawrence
county , is the only ono of the three
that will nid in the construction of a
railroad not altogether that Ponning-
ton and Ouster counties uro too proud
to participate , but they fully appreci
ate the fact that the energetic people
of the northern hills are bound to
have a road anyway , and that its
benefits will flow to them as readily
as though they manifested a littlu
liberality. It isn't hardly the tquare
thing for them to do , and Lawrence
is thoroughly alive to the fact , bu
having started in for a road , a roac
must bo built. The probabilities are
that the Hills will bo in direct rail
road communication with Denver by
July 1 , 1883.
