An ordinance for the vaccination of children attending schools was passed. The ordinance * makes it unlawful for any child to attend any school in Omaha unless it haa been vaccinated within thu past seven years , and en trusts the enforcement to thu city physician. An ordinance regulating the laying of sidewalks was passed. An ordinance concerning the grant ing of permits to drain layers was passed. An ordinance granting to the Union Pacific railway company the right of way over and along Jackson street , east of Ninth , for tlio purpose of put ting two or more tracks thereon and operating the same , was introduced. It provided that the tracks should bo constructed within six months. The mayor was alwo instructed to oxccutu a deed for the rittht of way , and deliver the same to tlio company.
