Groceries , dry goods , hardware , lumber , machinery , tools , boots and shoes , , carpets , millinery , liata and caps , clothing and furnishing goods , leather goods , in faet , everything required by western civili/ation are going out from this market in quantities. All the leading houses are taxed to the ut most to pack up goods and promptly fill their orders. All sections in tha west and northwest are buying for tha fall trade and by the extent of their purchases indi cate a possessed prosperity that will here after exhibit still mure valuable pros- p rity. The money market is showing great ac tivity. The banks report very active bu siness. The money market may not bo termed close , rates ranging at 7@10 per cent. Counter business in very active in deposits and checking. Discount rates closed firm , In produce but little has been done. Flour The ordinary amount of busi ness was observed inthis markat. The demand continues xccllent , aud full prices are mora thau commonly easy to be obtained. A fair demand exists for bran , chop feed , etc. Wheat has been firm and advanced 13c. Barley firm and advanced fie. Rye quiet add Jo higher. Corn firm and closed at the elevator at 50c. Wagon lota ware sold on th * street * to dealers at 53@58c.
