connection with the general merchandise
market. Trade was liberal and prices gen
erally steady and unchanged. Drugs and
chemicals were dcady. Wo note an nd-
vancoofCcon turpentine. Other quota
tions in paintn and oil market unchanged.
Dealers report the wool market steady and
unchanged. Leather firm and in good de
mand. The grain markets , firm. Wheat
advanced 2Jc for No. 2 ; Ic for No. 3 and
rejected , Onts advanced "c , and corn Ijc.
No. 2 Barley is quoted lOc lower than yes
terday's prices. In country produce circles
nothing now was reported. Butter , eggs
'and potatoes are firm nt yesterday's quo
tations. Vegetables of nil kind * are sell
ing readily at good prices. Itaephcrries
are a shade lower than yesterday. Straw
berries were scarce , arrivals being light ,
but prices unchanged.
