Nothing of general interest was reported
Jn the markets to-day. Butter was steady
and finn at fonucr prices. Eggs were
strong nnd unchanged. Potatoes vumain
at yesterday's quotations. Raspberries
arc coming into the market and are yet
very high , selling nt S3 CO to § 400 per
case. Strawberries , although nearly out
of season , continue to como in and prices
remain unchanged. The grain markets
were steady. Wheat advanced Jo for No.
2 ; othct-H quoted at yesterday's prices.
The live Htock market remains unchanged.
Cattle bhowed signs of weakening , hut
closed nt yesterday's quotations. Drugn
nnd chemicals were in moderate move
ment at steady prices , as were also paints ,
oils nd glass. The lumber business was
brisk , at former prices. Heavy hardware * ,
iron and other branches showed no change.
There was a little better feeling in wools ,
hut nothing of special interest shown.
Hides nnd leather \\ere firm nnd un
changed. In dry goods circles there was a
healthy tone in prices , but no changes in
any of the staples were reported. In sta
ple and fancy groceries no changes were
reported. Sugars were generally steadj
and finn at quotation's. Coffees were
steady and firm , as were also teas and
apices.
