The picnic party was composed of the following ladies and gentlemen : Misses Minnie Richardson , May Wood , Grace Chambers , Dora Lchmor , Dollie Mo- Cormick , Lou Ijams , Matlic Sharp , Mora Baleombe , and Miss Monoll , of Lincoln , and the Messrs. THE S1IKH1LL CLUIl ' held a social and literary last Monday 6vening at the residence of the Rev. Mr. Sherrill. The pantomimic drama of "The Butcher Boy , " was very suc cessfully rendered with Mr. Chas. 'Beach and Miss Mary Knight in the leading parts. JfOTKH. Several picnics are in preparation with Pries' Lake as the objective point. It is understood that the wedding cards are being printed for one of the most popular members of the Pleasant - -ant Hours club. A number of Omaha . belles will be disappointed. The "Commers" given by the Saen- gerbund at the close of their Friday evening concert was a most enjoyable .affair. Songs were admirably ren- .dcrod by all the societies composing -the organization and the greatest en- oyment was experienced by both vis- tors and members of the Bund. A i ature of the evening was the admir- b t performance of the St. Joseph and under the leadership of Prof. 'Chas. Winkler and the panoramic views of St. Joseph Maennerchor life given by the St. Joe society to the ac- .companiment of an excellent and laughter inspiring song. The whole -affair gave Americans "a pleasant insight - . sight into a most enjoyable German custom. Mr.V. \ . R.
