The flour inarkcl was sluggfch for lower grade , but with active demand for the finer brands , price'holding up to Saturday's figures. For t-oieral year * Omaha hai been laboring under a serious disad vantage when compared with other great trade and fiiuncial centres in possessing no regular published account of the clearings made by her banks. These important hta- tittles which indicate mimiustakably the cm rent of trade and the amount of busi ness transacted through the banks will Mon , as we arc' informed , bo furnished to the press. A number of energetic { work ers in OmahaV interests have been urging the matter upon our banks and it is under stood that they have consented to comply. This move will necCHsitatu the entrance by our banks into the National Cleat ing asso ciation , and the particular attention of a clerk In each bank to tho. tatistics of daily balances against the others. Few persons outside of Omaha have any adequate idea of our largo banking transactions.
