RAILROAD NOTES.
The Roci Island , was an hour late
yesterday morning.
Twelve cars of tea passed through
yesterday going east.
Thirty-nix cars of stock came in yes-
ter Jay over the U. P. "
One hundred and fifty empty stock
cars were sent west on the U. P. yes
terday to be loaded at once.
The special hunting csr "Davy
Crockett , " went west yesterday with
Col. Wilaon and party , of Chicago on
board.
For a week or more the large force
at the Union Pacific freight transfer
depot has been compelled to extend

their day's work totwelve
every night. Monday night a regular
night force was placed on , which
worked from 7 p. m. until daylight.
The foundation for the iron sheds
promised by the Burlington , Norta-
western and R-ck lehnd companies
over their platforms at the TJijton Pa-
citle transfer depot , are being put in
place , and the sheds will ba completed
before snow flies.
