At about 3 o'clock Thursday a gen
tlemanly appearing young man , of
about thirty-five
apparently , hastily
ascended tha eleps of the" mansion ,
No. t'334 Morgan street , tha residence
of Mr. C. A. Albright , cashier of the
Lindell hotel. Thu young man's face
was pale , his appearance betokened
haste , and he panted heavily. His
forehead was wrinkled with anxie'y ' ,
and In his hand he carried a letter.
He ] hurriedly pulled the bell. The

was not like the
plaintive j eal of the book agent , nor
yet the imperious note of the land
lord's ring when ho wants a month's
rent ; neither was it the timorous

not only the proceeds of his robbery ,
