A sight which would move the

The owner is temporarily absent from

Police Court.
There were four tramps before his
honor Saturday , all young mor .
One of these suffering from a discaso
of the heart , requested to be sent to
the county jail , where he could re
ceive medical assistance. His request

turned to the city jail in default of
piyment of fine , while the fourth
showing a written discharge from his
former employers was acquitted.
Kate McNamare for beinq intoxi
cated and disturbing the peace was

leaving the court she swore out a com
plaint for assault and battery , against

One Roberts , went on a "hurrah"
Friday night with a'parly of strangers
whom he met. They kindly cut his
pocket out relieving him of some $40.
John McCann was arrested and identi
fied by Roberts as the party who committed -
. mitted the theft. Ho was sent to the
county jail to await trial. McCann is
employed as a waiter at a hotel in ths
city and has heretofore borne a good
character.
