They hac on exhibition two mammoth beau tiful white steers , which attractec marked attention from all who ob served them. Mesrs. Sheelv , ai butchers , try to excel , always look ahead for the holidays , and are fattening these steers for Christ mas. On Saturday evening the Da- rant fire company was presented with the trumpet voted to them du ring the Odd Fellow entertainments , Colonel Sraythe made the presenta tion speech. Omaha is among the cities'tha are soon to send out an expedition Mons. Plan , au adventurous am wealthy Frenchman , formerly a res ident of Omaha , recently returnee from France , and hearing" the re ports concerning the Black Hill : gold fields , determined to organiz < au expedition and at once set ou for the land of promise.
