attendance on the Agricultural Dep't of
the University as the last Catalogue
shows. It is only the lack of funds which
prevents the management of this depart
ment from filling all available space at
the farm with students, eager and anxious
to secure the advantages which the de
partment offers.
On Saturday Nov. 16, Com. A. of the
University Cidcls met in the armory at
8 o'clock in (lie morning and receiving
their amuniliou for target practice march
ed merrily to the battle-field north of the
University about two miles. Covering
one of the hills more or less with canvass,
they took their stand, first at 100 and then
at 200 yards distant, to try their skill.
Those who were so fortunate as to hit
the hill will be found in the table be
low.

conduct in Chicago during the session of
the N. A, P. A. As Clem Chase was the
only student from this school there, of
course it reflected on him. Wherever
Clem is known this little fiction would
puss for its full valuc-a squib; but to
those who know him not, we would say
that nothing is more foreign to his char
acter than the conduct ascribed to him in
that at tide, and UpU we regret exceeding
ly that the columns of the Student
should have been prostituted for the fur
therauce of such a scheme as injuring
the feelings of any student, and hope
they will all remember the lines of that
old song.

PERSONALIA.
Miss Sadie Harris is studying in Bos
ton, and Miss Armista Wilson in White
Water, Wis.
We find on our table cards of Miss Min
nie Williams and Miss Codding. We re
gret our absence. Call again.
Miss Adah Seaman is back again, and
the boys are ir-vr ,hig in shoe blacking
and hair oil in .. ,fay that adds luster to
the grocer's eyes.
The Student was favored with v. pleas
ant call from Miss Helen .Turtle ins and
Miss May Tebbels. a former student of the
college at Des Moines, Iowa.
Miss Etulorn May Stone one of the new
students took the "Companion" prize for
the best poem on " Home." The young
lady has made several similar " hiu" in
a somewhat extended literary circle.
Willie Garber is back again to school
after spending a year with relatives in
Iowa and indulging in a broken leg and
other exciting diversions. He says he is
glad to get back again hut misses that
charming mista appearance that iwd to be
around the building and was so attractive.
