Great excitement in Philo Hall.

We wore made gind last week by a
visit from Professor Thompson. Thostud
onts feel tlmt he is one of tljeir warmest,
friends, and always give him a hourly
welcome.
Thomas J. Brant, superintendent of
public schools hi Fremont county, Iowa,
called at our sanctum this wcelc He paid
our school a visit. May some of the
superintendents in our own state follow
Ills example. Wo would be pleased to
have a call from you any time.
The Senior class gave a reception the
evening of our lal socialite. Mr. Leslie
tawis and Miss ,lessie Hmiu performed
the duties of host and hostess. The re
mninder of the clas were the sons, daught
ers, aunt and cousin. Hie w hole school
wore invited as guests. Of course, we
had a giiod time.
An amendment has bet'n ottered to the
constitution of our society, providing for
the OniTetoiuhng Secretary to keep an
account, and report at the end of each
term the whereabouts of all mem Wis who
haw formerly belonged to the- society, to.

in our school this term than al any previ
ous winter term since the school wtis
organized. The number enrolled is altout
two hundred, exclusive of the Model
School. The students seem to be a class
t ho mean work, and we feel that under
the able management of the picscnt corps
