The whole number of students enrolled during the present school year is ;ir7, Nineteen counties are represented, viz: Richardson, Nemaha, Otoe, Cass, Sarpy, Douglas, Washington, Dodge, Platte, Saun. ders, Lancaster, Johnson, Pawnee, Gage, .Jcfl'erson, Seward, Fillmore, Adams and Hurt. We had the pleasure a few days ago of a visit from our jovial shoolmnte, Enoch Welty. Mr. Welty has been teaching for several terms at St. Deroin. Judging by the length of time ho has taught in one school, it is evident the St. Deroin people think Enoch is about the man. The gen tleman displayed his good sense by sub scribing for the Hksi'KUIan Studknt. Normal students are teaching in vari ous purls of tlio state. Miss Lucretia Tucker is tecahing in the Tecumseh Grn iled school. Miss Franklc Hull and Miss Vesta Noyes in the Brownvillo High School; Mr. W-IC. Loon)ourroin Pal myra; Miss Adelo 1$. Knowles in the North Graded School of Omaha: Miss Lydia Hell in Pawnee city, is principal of school; Miss Emma Williams in Lincoln; ml Miss Julia Kingman in Falls City.
