There is in existence in the world, one
hundred and iifty-two religious sects or
denominations. Of these lifty-seven are
represented in the United States.
Of the whole number, there are only sixty-four
Protestant sects, the remainder be
ing Catholics and Pagan denominations.
The Catholic population of the United
States is estimated at two million, and
