DOANE WINS STATE MEET.
Tho state inter-collegiate athletic
meet was held' Saturday at York.
Doano College carried off first honors
with the State University second.
One state record was broken by Kel
logg, who made the pole vault at 10
feet 2 Inches. Doane led with five firsts
and four seconds. The university
team got four firsts and three seconds.
Teams from York College, Doane Col
lege, Wesleyan and the State Uni
versity contested.

ARGOS 0.
The baseball team won from the
Nebraska City Argos Saturday by a
score of 14 to 0. The game was played
at Argo park, Nebraska City. Dur
ing the first five innngs tho homo team
held tho university team down and
prevented scoring. After that the col
lege boys started lo score and sue
ceded in crossing the plate fourteen
times before the end of the game. A
return game will be played next Thurs
day on the campus. Batteries Argo,

Dr. John White left Saturday for
Germany, wherehc will spend a yearln
study at the German unlvlrsitles. Af
a few weeks' visit with relatives in
the East he will sail for Holland and
devote some time to sightseeing in the
Netherlands and Belgium, followed by
a trip up tho Rhine.
