tho shops last Saturday morning bo

J. S. Moore roturned Wednesday
from a visit to Hastings, North Platto,
York, Grand Island, and Central City.
Whilo away ho was engaged in -working
up delegations to tho state conven
tion of Y. M. C. A. at Hastings, July
10th. Ho reports much onthuslasm in
the associations throughout tho state,
and tho coming convention promises
to bo tho largest and most successful
yet held in Nebraska. Tho university
will sond a delegation of twenty.

ical association has recently come
from tho government press. For tho

sociation the roport consists of ton vol
umes. Ono of tho most notablo feat

published letters of John C. Calhoun.

farm last summer. .They aro for spe
cial use in tho horticultural depart
ment, bolng pictures of all the differ
ent -varieties of -water melons, -which
can be raised in this part of the stato.
Views of tho Holds and growing melons
wero taken as well as pictures of in
dividual melons, both entire and cut
in sections. Tho picturos "will bo used
as Illustrations in tho annual publica
tion which tho horticultural socioty
will have ready for distribution
throughout the state by early spring.

Tho thirteenth Annual Course of Lectures will
commence on the 19th day of September, 1900,
and -will continue eight and one-half months. Tho
course is graded and covers a period of four years.
Medical Hall, tho Laboratory of Medical Science,
tho Laboratory of Medical Chemistry, and tho
Laboratory of Anatomy aro situated upon the Cam
pus. Tho clinical opportunities afforded by the
hospitals and dispensaries of Minneapolis and St.
Paul aro at the command of the College. For out
door clinical service a new clinical building has
been built in a central location.
