Mont., has lately been elected head of
tho department of geology and mlnev-
ology at tho state university of Mon
tana, at Missaula.
;C. S. Lobinger, Professor in tho Law
School, is by no means a stranger to
tho University, having graduated here
in tho class of '88 anu was one of the
three members of that class to bo hon
ored with a P. B. K. While in school
he was a member of the Palladlan
Literary Society. After graduation,
ho was employed for two years in the
state library, and later went into tho
office of Mr. Offutt of Omaha where he
remained a number of years and gain
ed an enviablo imputation as a legal
writer, having contributed largely to
tho Cyclopedia of Law. Being a prac
tical luwyer as well as a scholar and
an author he will prove a valuable
addition to tho Law Faculty.
