It is also Intended to cultivate art
in the state by encouraging the or
ganization of local auxiliaries, arous
ing of an art sentiment in the public'
schools, the establishment of prizes to j
be competed for by Nebraska artists, I
the building up of a state art gallery
through purchase of pictures and the i
endowment of art scholarship. A
handsome prospectus is being issued
explaining the plans of the association, j
President Hall is the foremost patron
of art in Lincoln and is pushing some J
very ambitious plans. I
