Five joint missionary meetings with the Y. W. C. A. have served to quicken missionary Interests. A num- bor oC students have placed libraries In their home, Young Peoples Socie ties. Most of the societies of the city churches have purchased libraries through the influence of university students. This is one of the most prac ticable lines of work the department lias taken up for several years, be tween 30 and 40 persons have been reg istered In the mission study classes for one or more terms. Row D. E. Smith 1 conducted the class tho first term and Miss Countryman has been leader the last twe terms. This work was under the direct su pervision of the general secretary, J. S. Moore. This work can not be com mended too highly. The association has had a room at its disposal on Thirteenth and T. Special nurses and a physician were employed whenever needed. In many cases it was not necessary to remove the patient to this private hospital. Flowers and cheer ful associates were provided in every case of sickness that camo to the at tention and under the care 01 the asso ciation. STATE FAUSr BHAN'CII. Many details of interest must u nec essity be omitted from this report. The r'an of hiring a general secretary has by this time commended itself to all, ana no one needs to have his at tention called to the excellent services Mr. J. S. Moore has rendered in this capacity. The board of directors, com posed of two members of the faculty Drs. Ward and Hastings and two bus iness men Dr. Paine and Mr. Oberlles, has wisely counseled and directed the general policy of the organization. Much praise and credit is due to their assistance in this work. The association is non-partisan and stands ready to assist and promote a good healthy university spirit. It re grets exceedingly that some few of its members lose sight of this true aim and become absorbed in college poli tics detrimental to the best interests of the university. Such actions on the part of Its members stand rebuked by the association and will be rewarded according to merit. The future of our association presents a most hopeful aspect; the new administration is planning wisely and getting ready for a year of abundant success and marked progress. God has greatly blessed the work of the past year and richly re warded all our efforts. Respectfully submitted, J. J. KING. THE ALBERT TEACHERS' AGENCY Central fluslc Halls, Chicago. Fifteenth Year.
