each day. The real object Is to form
ulate In each man tho habit of doing a
little bible study at regular Intervals.

ganlzo and develop tho work. Samuel

tee deserve much credit for this happy

TRACK PROSPECTS.
Enthusiasts are looking forward to
ureal inmgs in track: athletics thrs
coming season. Nearly all of last year's

Last year the team met Iowa at Iowa
City and In spite of the fact that she
has had established records and tradi
tions for some years, a tie was tho re
sult. Kansas was no match for us, but
she will develop this year. It Is possi
ble that Nebraska and Missouri will
also have a meet. Iowa comes hero
and Nebraska goes to Kansas, and a
four-cornered league Is a possibility of
tho future. In Juno a team will be sent
to Chicago to the intercollegiate meet,
and Nebraska should win something.
Training will soon begin and now men
who have aspirations in this field of
athletics should got out and work for a
position on the team. In coming youta
it will bo no smnll honor to win a place.
Nebraska has turned the corner and is
headed straight down tho course.
TO PRACTICE LAW.
Of tho 1899 graduating class at Har
vard 408 members have huHf-nterl tho
choice of a future profession, and tho
result must bo declared to be distinctly
depressing in some particulars, while
it is exhilarating in others. "With a
surplus of lawyers already practicing
law and running for congress, 100 of
these graduates Intend to study law,
twenty-nino will reinforce the over
crowded ranks of tho medical profes
sion, twelve will study for the minis
try, forty-flvo will teach until they
can find something moro profitable to
do and business careers of various
kinds will claim nearly a hundred
more. Twelve of the class expect to
enter journalism, eleven to become
architects, three aro put down as in
tending to enter literature, and thora
Is only ono artist and one musician in
