The debaters who will reprci nt Nebraska in the inter-state
debates had their pictures taken last Friday.
Next Wednesday from 4 o'clock to 6 will be a holiday.
This is a favor granted to the base ball team.
The April number of the American Naturalist shows that
Dr. H. B. Ward has been elected associate editor.
The students in School Management are visiting the ward
schools this week. Bollenback is enthusiastic over primary
work.
The Paliadian society are to entertain the Orophelian Literary
society of the Wesleyan University Friday evening. A good
program has been arranged for that evening.

The appointment committee is besieged with seniors asking
for recommendations to schools, of all parts of the state.
Capt. Reeder is both an athlete and a diplomat. He de
serves much praise for his success as an arbitrator last Saturday.
Professor Houck, of Chicago University, an old student and
friend of Chancellor MacLean was visiting him Wednesday
and Thursday.
Ralph Roper went to Omaha Thursday for two weeks. His
business is to put the material for tho annual together and put
the finishing touches besides to the Junior Annual.
Messrs. Hills, T. Maxwell and Hilton, will represent the
Union Boys' Debating Club in a joint debate with the P. K. D.
society of Doane College to be held in Union hall next Fri
day evening.
Miss Cunningham and Miss Douglas were at home Friday
and Saturday evenings to their many University friends.
About twenty-five couples enjoyed the entertainment provided,
dancing until a late hour to the strains of Walt's orchestra.
Lee Edwards is well on the way to recovery, now. Last
Thursday, eleven doctors decided that he could not live forty
eight hours but, assisted by everything that medical science can
offer, he has made a good fight with death and his friends hope
to soon see him about, again.
Company B had their target practice last Saturday morning.
The day was warm and bright yet despite the fact-that a strong
wind was blowing some interesting scores were made. The
highest reported was 22 out of a possible 25, Three men in
the company made this score.
