opened in February. This new departure will give eventually
more prominence to mid-winter commencement than it has be
fore enjoyed.
The Standard weights and measures, furnished to each state
in the union by the United States, together with heavy oak
cases and tables have been added to the collections of the State
Museum. Along with this beautiful and costly set are two
balances of great precision, with heavy marble-topped tables
for the support of the same.
The summer session will open Juno 9, the day after com
mencement and close July 20. Work in at least ten subjects
English, English Literature, History, Latin, Modern
Language, Botany, Physics, Chemistry, and Pedogogy will
be given. It is expected that a groat number of students,
especially teachers, will be in attendance.
