The Seniors hold a class meeting last Friday afternoon at which they decidod to hold a Senior Promenade this year and to levy an assessment on the mora bora of the class to aid tho '.'Class Play." The D. B. D. 0. hold a very enthusiastic meeting and elections of officers, last Saturday evening. The following officers were elected: 0. W. Jones, president;. It. W. Mn. Galium, vice-president; Graybill, secretary; Wra. Morrow and A. W. Maxwell, attorneys; K. D. Andreson sergeant-at-aruiH. V A very interesting little book is No. 12 of the 'Patriot which is a characterization of Honry Olay by Professor H. W. Oald- -s- well. The book shows careful investigation of tho sources and i is written in Professor Caldwell's interesting stylo. It is a most valuable little work. The graduate club will hold its second meeting for tho year in tho English Club den Saturday night. Prof. Barbour, Miss Herron, and Mr. Hunter will furnish tho program and a social good time will be enjoyed. The officers of the club are endeavoring to interest all graduato students. This meeting will bo entirely informal and no ono need stay away out of bashfulness. Professor Fosslor has adopted an admirably arranged book for beginners for uso in tho class room, this semester. Tho book is, "Dor Zorbrockono Krug" edited by Edward S. i , Joynos, of South Carolina Collogo, and published in 1898 by Heath and Co., Boston. Many Gorman idioms are included ,wi in tho tost; thoro is a careful syBtom of notes; and a portion is devoted to composition work.
