Nothing passes the Burlington but lightning, and the Burl
ington is now in hot pursuit.
& Miss Ella M. Crawford, principal of the School of Oratory,
will play the role of Queen in Ruy Bias.
Leon B. Stuhr, of Grand Island, was initiated into Sigma
Chi Fraternity "Wednesday evening, January 24.
Students will do well to remember that Westorfield is yet in
business, at his old stand, 117 North 13th. Latest styles in
hair cut.
Arthur Maxwell and W. F. McNaughton have entered the
8 a. m. Gymnasium class. They hope to make this an in
centive for early-rising.
W. E. Andreson visited his home at Do Witt last week. Ho
was detained at home by the illness of his brother and has not
yet returned to the University.

Elocutionary Recital by students of Nebraska College of
Oratory will be given in the High School Auditorium Tuesday
evening, February 7. Cordial invitation for all to come.
Tickets are free and can bo had at College Office, 10 o'clock
Saturday morning.
Edwin Jones is looking for an assistant to help him herd
his owls. One which ho had shipped him from Dunbar last
week is very active, especially at night.
J. H. Steutevillo is thinking of applying for a position in
the classified postal service. His friends have great con
fidence in his judgment and his mastery of various styles
of penmanship.
The matter of organizing a State Interschoolastic Athletic
Association is steadily being pushed forward. A number of
high school representatives met in Lincoln during the Ne
braska Teachers' Association. A committee was chosen to
draw up a constitution. This will now be submitted to the
high schools throughout the state for approval.
