Those who know him expect much from him during this session. The members of Kappa Sigma who were in the city during the holidays gave a theatre- party Thursday evening, when Frank Daniels appeared here. Mr. Ned Abbot gave an interesting talk in "Methods of Teaching the Blind," at one of the sectional meetings at the State Teacher's association. All the new books always in stock. The latter was taken from one of Lincoln's best likeness and is considered a splendid piece of work. A "stag" party was held in ihe room of E. B. Perry and 0. M. Funk, Thursday evening, December 22. The fol lowing were present: J. F. Boomer, It. C. Roper, Perse Morse, Lee Berry, J. A. Maguire, E. F. Warner. 0. A. Fisher, fellow in geology, spent the holidays in trav eling over the West in the interests of the department he rep resent. In all he traveled over four thousand miles, going as far west as Salt Lake City. He reports having seen a great many of the University alumni, all of whom are doing well. The students and faculty of the Nebraska College of Oratory, in the near future, will present Victor Hugo's greatest dramatic achievement, Ruy Bias. It is intended by the college to make it one of the greatest dramatic and literary events of the season. The Othello presented by the school last year is a sufficient guarantee of what can be expected of Ruy Bias. An intertainment was given by the college settlement work ers especially for the young people, last Friday night at the "Graham Taylor House." Games were enjoyed for nearly two hours when refreshments were served. A temporary organization for a liteiary nuuiuly was formed. Mr. Honeon was elected president.
