The Phi Delta Theta boys intended to havo a coaching party last Saturday afternoon, but as there was no foot-ball game they gave an informal party at their home in the evening, instead. The companies of the battalion were organized for the first time hiBt week. There will bo only four companies this year; but they will be slightly larger than formerly. The uniforms are being made by an eastern company and will probably be here about Christmas. Last Friday evening the Beta Theta Pi fraternity gave, a very elaborate card and dancing party at its rooms in the First National Bank block. The rooms were especially dec orated for the occasion. During the evening delicious re freshments were served. The foot ball team startB for Kansas today at 1:30. The game tomorrow promises to be one of the fiercest struggles in the West. Both Nebraska and Kansas have been playing good foot-ball and this game really decides who shall have the pennant. Quite a crowd of foot-ball enthusiasts will accom pany the team. The Tau Delta' Omicron boys expect to be initiated into Delta Upsilon sometime this month. The boys arc congratu lating themselves that they were able to get a charter from this fraternity, not only because of the high standing of the fraternity nationally but also because it has the reputation of being one of the most conservative fraternities in tho country.
