A University republican club was organized Tuesday with E. GirmntS F. Warner as president and G. E. Toboy as secretary. A committee was appointed to arrange for a joint debate with the bi-motallic club. F. Yan Valin has been to Philadelphia to secure a charter from the Phi Delta Gamma fraternity. He was initiated last week and was granted the privilege of instituting a chapter in the University of Nebraska. P. H. Thompson of the local society of Tau Delta Omicron, went east last week for the purpose of obtaining a charter. He returned Friday, having been successful, and now the Tau Delta Omicron is. a chapter of the Delta Upsilon fraternity. Dr. Davis has received the following note from Professor Moore of the University of Chicago: My dear Professor Davis: Two lines to say that wo are much pleased with Lehmer; he is thoughtful and with ideas of his own which I hope ho will be able to develop satisfactorily. With cordial greetings, yours, E. H, Moore. Frank E. Wiggins, 98, who has been in the United States service, went to Woodbine, Iowa, last Tuesday to coach the foot-ball team of the Woodbine Normal. Mr. Wiggins, or "Wig," as he is called, held his place as end on the Nebraska team for four years and took rank as one of the very best players in the west. The Woodbine team is to bo congratu lated in securing his services. for Men and Women.
