Mr. .1. (J. McIIugh of Plattsmouth has been
elected Superintendent of the Beatrice schools
and principal of the high school. Mr. Mc
Hugh has brought the IMattsmoiilh high
school to a high standing and will be greatly
missed then.
Supt. (). H. Rrainard wis re-elected at
Ileal rice and jvsigned to enter another Held.
Mi. Rrainard is one of the prominent educa
tors of the slate and will be great! missed in
in educational work.
Inspector Crabtree visits Broken Bow.
Bellevue college and high schools of Dead
wood and Lead City this week.
The Chancellor, Prof. Barber and Mr. Crab
tree will inspect Bellevue college tomorrow.
The accredited high school committee are at
work now preparing the new list of schools. .
Some of the present list will be dropped and
new ones added. The work as a, whole has
been improving in the high schools according
to Inspector Crabtree's report.
Supts. W. M. Kern, of David City, and S.
P. ArnosU of Harvard, have both been re
elected at an increase of salary.
Prof. Geo. Porter has been elected to a po
sition in the State Normal School.
