Jonas Lien left for Sioux Fall last Monday evening where he will take charge of the busi ness end of the "Press," one of the leading newspapers of South Dakota. The hall was crowded and great interest, was manifeetrto the close. The music was given by the Del ian quartet composed of Messrs Moore, Beedy, Vasey and Edgerton and showed great study and care. The paper read by Mr. Wymore showed deep and earnest thought. Its com position was excellent. Mr. Boomer's oration was a splendid tribute to the military heroes of the nation. Mr. Sargent's ability to write stories is so well known that no one will be surprised to learn that his story of western life was of great merit. Mr. Edgerton's stamp speech was a little out of the ordinary but.it took well with the audience. He worked,up considerable enthusiasm. The surprise of the evening came when the curtain was pulled back exposing ten yqqag fellows arrayed in all of the paraphernalia.' of "gym" girls. The girls in the audience fairly gasped for breath, each one wondering if her uniform was up there. To add to tie reah'tv of the scene, several young fellows climbed into the window and they were received with giggles by the girls on the stage.
