A quiet presence, with that tranquil way
Which somehow in the midst of rush and toil
Betokens power, all this was not unfelt
As years slipped by, and wo but slowly learned
To love the Alma Mater as our home.

How other might it bo than that a life,
So gracious, so devout in helpfulness
Should speak through other lives, and gain reward
