The Bev, Mr. VThitmore, president of the
American Anti-Saloon League gave a five
minute talk in chapel Monday, outlining the
work of his organization and giving something
of its history.

ator Morrill was unveiled by Chancellor Mac
Lean, speeches being made by the Chancellor
and Dean Bessey. The platform was decora
ted with palms and flag drapery, the bust
standing just beneath the arch.

Miss Barr has recently been granted a leave
of absence and will sail for Europe April 2,
with the party of Dr. Seaver of Yale. They
will first go to Stockholm for several months
to attend the Boyal Central Institute there.
. 31iss Barr will study the Swedish system of
gymnastics. They will then go to Berlin
where she will continue her studies. Dr.
Seaver, who is at the head of physical training
in this country is well known in Europe and
America by his scientific investigations and
his books on anthropometry. The gymnas
ium work here will he so arranged that it will
continue under the direction of the assistants.
However there will be no girls gymnasium
exhibition this spring.
