THE : HESPERIAN made one of his characteristic, forceful and eloquent speeches. He did not do himself justice, however, owing to a lack of prepara tion. On 3fonday evening Dec. 13th the 5 and 8 o'clock class teams played a very one sided game The only explanation for the score of 26 to 3 is found in the fact that the 8 o'clocks were clearly outclassed by the 5 o'clocks. One of the hardest fought basket ball con tests ever played in the Armory took place Monday evening between theo and 11 o'clock class teams. E. 'Guard Andrcson. R. D. Ryan Sub The game was one sided from the first, the score being 24 to 0 in favor of the live o'clocks. The five o'clocks now have the enviable title of "University Team." Dr. Hastings is trying to arrange for a game with the "West Side Chicago team Jan. .'. Then; will be a game between the Y. M. C. A. team and the Univcrsit3' team some time during January. The best place in the city to get a good sleighing outfit is at Argubright's212X 12 St. He will treat you right. The Unions had a most enjoyable sleigh ride last Tuesday evening. About thirty were out to enjoy the fine evening. Dr. Bes sey entertained the entire party by giving them a ten o'clock lunch.
