of the Y. M. C. A., gave a five-minute chapel
talk on Thursday morning.
Kay P. Teele, '07, left. Tuesday afternoon
for "Washington, H. C, where he has accepted
a position in the government printing oflice.

day, lie expects to begin post-graduate
work in the University next week.
Bion II. Culver, B. Sc. '83, who has been
principal of the Ponea selio. Is for live years,
was elected this month tothesuperintendency
of public instruction in Dixon County.
0. 11. Allen, '97 was the populist candidate
for the oflice of Register of Daeds in Cass Co.
Oscar made a hard light but was defeated by
a small majority.
T. F. McCarthy and "W. II. Rhodes, both
of the class of '9(5, were elected to the oflice
of county superintendent at the last election.
The former in Hamilton Co.. the latter in
Thayer Co.

of the high grade of work done in his thesis.
At Harvard, where he now is, ho lectures on
"The Origins of Greek and Roman History."
He also gives many special lectures and writes
