during examination week and returned
home Saturday in time to attend the

The Physics Journal club did not meet
Monday night so as to give several of the
members an opportunity to see Thomas

Thomas Kemp has returned to take up
his university work again after being
home two months because of the illness
and death of his mother.
A fine collection of one hundred sea
weeds was received by the botanical de
partment last week from Miss Josephine
Tilden of the University of Minnisota.

Resolutions were passed in the Palla
dian and Delian boys' debating clubs
last Saturday evening, favoring the pur
chase of text books by the regents.
There are quite a few new students
registered this semester. The new courses
in beginning classes have made it much
easier for them to enter at this time of
year.
There was a special meeting ot the
electrical engineers last Saturday even
ing. Mr. Randall was elected as general
superintendent of the Chaiter Day ex
hibit. The juniors and seniors have.been
excused from laboratory work for the
next two weeks and will put in their af
ternoons fixing up novelties. On motion
of Mr- Sawyer a reception committee is
to be appointed for the better enter
ment of the Charter Day guests.
