THE' HESPERIAN Resolutions. Hesperien Election. Whereas, It hath pleased almighty God in His divine providence, to take from us our beloved brother, Ralph Francis An drews; and, Whereas, We realize in his death we have sustained the loss of a brother whose ad mirable traits of character and whose con fiding and effectionatc nature we 'have learned to love and esteem, be it thereforo, Resolved, That the Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity condole with the family of the deceased in our mutual bereavement and that our heart-felt sympathy be tendered to them, and be it further, Resolved, That each member of this chapter drape his pin and wear it as a badge of mourning for thirty days, and lastly be it, Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the parents of our deceased brother, that a copy be spread upon our chapter record, and that a copy be sent to each of the college publications, to the daily papers, and also that a copy be printed in the Sigma Chi quarterly. At the annual election of Toe Hesperian association, the following were elected as the board of editors for the next year. J. H. Lien, editor-in-chief, Kinton and Demp ster from the Unions; Corey, Moore and Burrows from the Falladians; Edgerton, Sargent and Graham from the Delians. The election was well attended and every one seemed enthusiastic for the welfare of The Hesperian. A vote of thanks was passed thanking Editor in-chief O. H. Allen and his assistants ior the able manner in which the paper has been handled this year. At the meeting of the new board J. F. Boomer was unanimously elected business mana ger. J. H. Lien has appointed the associate editors as follows: S. J. Corey, editorial; J. A. Sargent, literary; Annie Burrows, alumni; F. E. Edgerton, athletic; W. G. Kinton, local; E. A. Moore, local; Ada Graham, local; Mabel B. Dempster, local. Societies Elections. Last Tuesdaj' evening the Delta Tan Delta fraternity received the Christian asso ciations at the chapter house on north twenty-fifth street. The boys placed their conveniently arranged house at the disposal of their guests, and everyone evidently ap preciated this kind hospitality. There were just enough present to fill the parlors com fortably. The informal reception was directed by Mr. Teele and Mrs. Hodgraan. After a pleasant social hour a short appro priate musical program was rendered, after which delicate refreshments were served. At a late hour the company said the last good nights and departed, feeling that their hosts had spared nothing to make the joint social a success. Union J. P.
